PM Modi To Inaugurate Slew of Projects In Visit To Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka On April 8, 9

In Tamil Nadu, PM will inaugurate New Integrated Terminal Building (Phase-1) of Chennai International Airport and flag off Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express at MGR Central Railway Station.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on April 8 and 9. During his visit to Tamil Nadu, PM is expected to visit Theppakadu Elephant camp in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve to meet mahout Bomman and his wife Bellie who were part of the Oscar-winning short documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers'.

In Telangana and Tamil Nadu, the PM will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple projects. He will launch international big cats conservation in Karnataka.

In a statement, Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said, "Modi to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 11,300 crore in Telangana."

On April 8, PM Modi will reach Secunderabad Railway Station and flag off Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express at 11:45 am.

At 12:15 pm, Modi will attend a public function to lay the foundation stone of AIIMS Bibinagar at the Parade Ground in Hyderabad. He will also lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of the Secunderabad Railway Station. The redevelopment of the Railway Station is to be done at a cost of Rs 720 crore.

After the redevelopment, the station will have world-class amenities and aesthetically designed iconic station building, said the statement from PIB. 

The PM will also flag off 13 new Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) services in the suburban section of Hyderabad–Secunderabad twin city region.

In Tamil Nadu, PM will inaugurate New Integrated Terminal Building (Phase-1) of Chennai International Airport.

PM will then flag off Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express at MGR Chennai Central Railway Station.

He will flag off an express train service between Tambaram and Sengottai. He will also inaugurate the 37-km gauge conversion section between Thiruthuraipoondi and Agasthiyampalli.

In Chennai, PM Modi will participate in the celebrations commemorating the 125th anniversary of Sri Ramakrishna Math.

Later, PM Modi will inaugurate road projects worth about Rs 3,700 crore at the Alstrom cricket ground in Chennai.

He will also lay the foundation stone for construction of road projects of National Highway-744.

In Karnataka which is set to face Assembly elections next month, PM will visit Bandipur Tiger Reserve in the morning. He will also interact with frontline field staff and self-help groups involved in conservation activities.

PM will also visit Theppakadu Elephant camp in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve and interact with mahouts and kavadis.

Prime Minister Modi will also launch the International Big Cats Alliance (IBCA).

Modi will also inaugurate the programme 'Commemoration of 50 years of Project Tiger'.
