In Bengaluru's Sarjapur Road, a miscreant harassed a couple inside their car and broke the vehicle's glass, creating a panic among the victims. The entire incident, which took place near the 1522 Pub on Sarjapur Road, was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media.
The video, initially posted by the community X handle Citizens Movement, showed a bike-borne man stopping the car and demanding that the driver step out. When the driver refused to roll down the window, citing the presence of his family, the man began attacking the vehicle. Despite the driver's pleas, which included mentioning that a child was inside the car, the assailant continued his aggressive behavior. The distressing footage also captured the woman's screams for help and the child's cries from within the car, according to Hindustan Times.
Bystanders attempted to intervene, but their efforts were in vain. The situation escalated, leading the couple to eventually reach out to the police for assistance.

The video quickly caught the attention of the Bengaluru City Police, who responded promptly. They assured the public that necessary action had been taken and advised residents to dial 112 in case of similar emergency situations. The police confirmed that a case had been registered at the Bellandur Police Station, with Crime Number 532/2024 under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused, identified as Naveen Reddy, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The incident has sparked a debate on social media, with users expressing their concerns about the safety of residents in Bengaluru. Some highlighted that such incidents are becoming increasingly common in the city, as reported by News 18. However, others condemned the attack and called for stricter measures to curb such acts of violence.
