Hundreds Of I-T & ED Officers Sent To Karnataka To Conduct Raids On Congress Leaders: Surjewala
DK Shivakumar, president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, stated that supporters of Congress workers will be targeted.
All India Congress Committee Karnataka In-Charge Randeep Singh Surjewala on Tuesday stated in an urgent press conference that officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax (IT) are being rushed to the poll-bound state of Karnataka to conduct raids on Congress leaders, reported news agency ANI.
In addition, Surjewala made fun of the BJP for the alleged delay in the release of the party's first list.
“We have authentic information that BJP is unable to select its candidates for BJP’s ministers and MLAs are refusing to contest seats…Mass exodus is happening in BJP in Karnataka. About 10 MLAs, MLCs, ex-MLAs and ex-MLCs, their boards & corporation chairmen have resigned in dozens and joined Congress,” Surjewala said.

“Hundreds of officials have been sent to Karnataka to raid supporters of Congress leaders. They are threatening our supporters not to give support us in the polls,” Shivakumar said.
Siddaramaiah stated to reporters that the BJP is concerned about losing power.
“There is a good environment for Congress in Karnataka. BJP is in fear of losing power and hence it is using IT and ED to target Congress leaders. No Congress leader is afraid of such threats,” Siddaramaiah said.
