'AAP Ka Diya Bujh Chuka Hai': BJP's Anil Vij Responds To Kejriwal's 'Kingmaker' Claim In Haryana Elections

Haryana Election: Attacking Arvind Kejriwal, BJP's Anil Vij alleged that while the party was formed during a time when people were rallying against corruption, now they are involved in corrupt practices.

In response to AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal's 'kingmaker' remarks, BJP candidate from the Ambala Cantt Assembly seat, Anil Vij, stated that the influence of AAP has faded across the nation. He alleged that while the party was formed during a time when people were rallying against corruption, now, the party is involved in corrupt practices. He also remarked that AAP has been rejected by the people of Delhi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Former Haryana deputy chief minister Vij told news agency ANI, "The lamp of AAP in the nation has been extinguished. This party was born from the movement by Anna Hazare. In Anna Hazare's movement, there was no mention of making a political party. They made their party when people were coming together against corruption. And now, they are involved in corruption. The people of Delhi have rejected AAP in the Lok Sabha elections. 'AAP ka diya bujh chuka hai, bujhe hue diye se shama roshan nahi ki ja sakti'."

Over the AAP chief's 'kingmaker' claim, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar lashed out at the AAP saying, "No one will accept the betrayal of their (AAP's) support. And we don't need their support."

Arvind Kejriwal's Roadshow In Haryana's Jagadhri Constituency

Arvind Kejriwal claimed a kingmaker role for the AAP during a roadshow in the Jagadhri constituency of Yamunanagar district of Haryana on Friday. Kejriwal claimed that AAP would play a decisive role in Haryana, stating that no government would be formed without its support.

While campaigning for Adarsh Pal, AAP’s candidate for Jagadhri who recently left Congress, Kejriwal emphasised his solidarity with the people of Haryana, pledging support in both good times and bad.

He also criticised the Education Minister of Haryana, accusing him of ruining the state, and took a swipe at BJP leader Kanwar Pal, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, alleging he had done little for Jagadhri aside from fostering addiction and unemployment.
