Rajinder Nagar Waterlogged Again Days After Basement Flooding Kills 3 IAS Aspirants: WATCH
Students were seen protesting in Old Rajinder Nagar in thigh-high water as incessant rain in Delhi on Wednesday flooded the area once again, days after the tragic basement flooding killed 3.
Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar area was flooded once again on Wednesday evening, four days after three civil services aspirants died due to flooding in a coaching centre's basement amid rain. The students, who have been protesting against the authorities, demanding action, continued their protest in thigh-high water, following incessant rain in the national capital today.
A few students also demanded that Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena should resign and that the MCD councillor should be suspended. Another student protesting at the spot also said that a case should be registered against the MCD Mayor.
Besides Old Rajinder Nagar, waterlogging was also reported from several other areas in Delhi-NCR, including ITO, Karol Bagh, Connaught Place, Minto Road, and Moti Bagh flyover. This caused massive traffic snarls, uprooting of trees, and left people wading through water.
