24-Year-Old Model Dies, One Other Injured After Lighting Truss Falls During Fashion Show In Noida's Film City
A video showing the spot where the model died due to the collapse of an iron framework in Film City's Laxmi Studio has surfaced online.
New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a 24-year-old model died and a man was injured after an iron truss installed to support the lights collapsed on them during a fashion show at Film City in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place around 1.30 pm on Sunday.
A video has surfaced online showing the spot where the model died due to the collapse of an iron framework in Film City's Laxmi Studio.
Sharing the video, a Twitter user wrote, "A model died in the #NoidaFilmCity area during a fashion show event after getting trapped under a lighting truss. A man who was standing near the model also received grievous injuries."

The victim was identified as Vanshika Chopra, a resident of Gaur City-2, Greater Noida.
She was walking the ramp when the iron pillar fell on her. One Bobby Raj suffered head injuries in the incident.
“A 24-year-old woman named Vanshika Chopra died after lights installed in a private studio in Film City collapsed during a fashion show event being held there. One person was injured in the incident. Four suspects have been detained for questioning," News18 reported citing Shakti Awasthi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida).
According to the report, she was immediately rushed to the Kailash Hospital, where she was declared brought dead by doctors. Raj was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The News18 report stated that there were reportedly around 150 people present in the studio when the incident took place.
The organisers and those who installed the light truss are being questioned.
Four people were detained, said ADCP Shakti Awasthi, according to ANI.
