Zinedine Zindane Steps Down As Real Madrid Manager, To Which Club Will The Frenchman Go Now?

With Manchester United losing in the final of the Europa League, it has now opened up discussions whether Ole Gunnar Solksjaer would continue to be the manager of Manchester United.

Frenchman Zinedine Zidane has stepped down as the manager of Real Madrid for the second time in his career. "It is now time to respect his decision and show him our appreciation for his professionalism, dedication, and passion in all these years, and for what he represents for Real Madrid," read a statement by Real Madrid.

Now the question arrives that what will be the next destination for Zidane? With Manchester United losing in the final of the Europa League, it has now opened up discussions whether Ole Gunnar Solksjaer would continue to be the manager of Manchester United. There were speculations about Zizou coming to United last year but those rumours didn't transpire into anything.

"Zidane is one of the great heroes of Real Madrid and his legend goes beyond what he has been as a coach and player of our club.

"We must now respect his decision and express our gratitude for his professionalism, dedication, and passion over the years and what he means to Real Madrid. He knows that he is at the heart of Real Madrid, and that Real Madrid is and will always be his home," said the statement by Real.

Zidane joined the club in 2016 and won three Champions League titles for the side. He stepped down again in 2018 but was back by March 2019. Overall, Zidane was 263 games in charge of Real, with 174 wins and just 36 defeats. That is one hell of a record for someone managing a La Liga club.
