Premier League: Egyptian football legend and Liverpool forward, Mohammed Salah has missed a rare penalty kick in the Premier League on Wednesday against Leicester City. This is Mo Salah's first penalty miss since 2017.

Leicester went on to win the match 1-0, and thus, the Salah penalty miss became a crucial moment in the game. Liverpool is now six points behind the top-ranked Manchester City.

Mohammed Salah took the penalty in the 15th minute of the match when the scoreline was 0-0. It was due to goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel's alertness that Salah's fast kick was stopped. The Egyptian had another chance to put the ball into the goal off the rebound by the goalkeeper, but Salah missed an open header.

Take a look at this missed penalty by Mohammed Salah:

Liverpool has now dropped five points in the last two matches. Problems will increase for manager Jurgen Klopp as his top players like Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah would be heading to represent their countries in the AFCON.

This past week of football has been a little unusual as many players in the Premier League were affected by Covid-19 and a lot of matches in the past week had to be canceled as the teams were not able to file full teams.
