Umar Akmal to return home after failing fitness test
New Delhi: Pakistan Batsman Umar kamal has been asked to return back from England after failing two fitness tests in two days, ahead of Champions Trophy which begins on June 1 in United Kingdom. "He has failed two fitness tests during the ongoing camp there in England ahead of Champions Trophy," PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan told ESPNcricinfo. "So since we have a policy not to carry unfit players, it has been decided to call him back and send a replacement. We have a deadline until May 25 so we are deliberating on the possible replacements." Pakistan cricket team is currently in England for Champions Trophy and Haris Sohail or Umar amin are likely replace Akmal. Pakistan Begin Champions Trophy campaign against arch rivals India on June 4.
