Virat Kohli Fake Fielding saga: Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra gave a shocking reaction to Virat Kohli's 'fake fielding saga' that has kept the batting great in the news recently. Chopra opined that Virat Kohli had done "100 percent fake fielding" during India-Bangladesh T20 World Cup fixture even if the opposition batters weren't deceived at all and that India should have been given five penalty runs for this, but at that time the umpires did not pay attention to it.

After the IND-BAN match got over, Bangladesh's wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan accused Virat Kohli of fake fielding in India's tense 5-run win. Hasan believes that if the umpires had paid attention to Virat's 'fake fielding', India would have gotten the 5-run penalty, resulting in Bangladesh possibly winning the match.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday said they will raise the controversial umpiring issue at an appropriate forum as the umpires did not pay any heed to Virat's fake fielding during their T20 World Cup match against India.

"Now what happened in this case? The on-field umpire didn't see. It completely went unnoticed. If no one has seen it then you can't charge it. The law says that the umpires need to notice it and judge it. Maybe the third umpire, if it's in jurisdiction, can also intervene.

"Woh fake fielding tha, 100% tha, wo jo throw marne ka prayas kia wo agar umpire dekhte toh 5 run ki pentaly padti humko aur 5 run se hum match bhi jeete. So we escaped here but next time if someone does this then the umpires will have to be more careful. So are Bangladesh right? Yes, they are but nobody noticed it then so can't do anything now," Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.
