New Delhi: Pakistan cricket team skipper Babar Azam celebrated his 28th birthday on Saturday, the day International Council of Cricket (ICC) organized the traditional 'all captain press conference' ahead of T20 World Cup 2022. The conference featured captains of all cricket teams participating in T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia to interact with media. Just a day after the presser, Pakistan cricket team had organized a party for Babar to celebrate his birthday.

At the party, Babar got a chance to meet and greet legendary Indian batter Sunil Gavaskar. The duo had a heartwarming interaction with one another. Gavaskar signed a cap for Babar and also shared some valuable advice for the tournament.


Pakistan Cricket shared the video via their official Twitter handle with the caption," Babar Azam meets Sunil Gavaskar".


In the video, Gavaskar can be heard telling Babar, "Shot selection acchi ho toh koi problem nehi. Situation ke hisaab se shot selection karein, koi problem nehi."






Pakistan will start its T20 World Cup 2022 campaign with a match against arch-nemesis India in front of a jam-packed crowd at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Stadium on 23rd October, Sunday. 


"Pakistan have always created fast bowlers. Our fast bowling lot is strong. Shaheen will make it stronger. We have played different combinations and they have all performed. Haris has improved at death. It's our opporutnity to show skills and different combination of players. When you play India, it's a high intensity game. Fans also wait for it. We enjoy it on the field. We tried to play good cricket," Babar had said during the presser on playing against India.
