India vs Australia warm-up match: Team India on Monday defeated Australia by 6 runs in a warm-up match ahead of T20 World Cup 2022. The win will help the Men in Blue get the much-needed confidence ahead of its 2nd warm-up match against New Zealand and high-octane clash against Pakistan on October 23 in Melbourne.

Batting first, India were off to a solid start with KL Rahul dominating the Aussie bowlers. Both Rahul (57) and Suryakumar Yadav (50) scored fifties to help India put a challenging total of 186 on board. Two other star batters of India's top-order, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, failed to shine. While Rohit departed for 14-ball 15, Kohli played a short-lived innings of 13-ball 19.
The former India skipper has been in great form ever since the Asia Cup. After missing India's two warm-up games against Western Australia in Perth, a well-rested Kohli was expected to fire at Brisbane against the main Australian squad, but this did not happen.
Taking note of this, Kohli practiced at the nets in Gabba for around 40 minutes after Ind vs Aus warm-up match got over. Kohli did the net session alongside Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and star batter Mohammad Rizwan, something which is extremely rare for cricket fans to witness.
