'This Is Bizarre': Fans Slam 'Poor Umpiring' As Error Leads To 5-Ball Over In AUS Vs AFG T20 WC Match

A Twitter user posted a screenshot as per which Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq bowled only 5 balls in the 4th over of the innings before the umpire brought the over to conclusion.

Invited to bat first, Glenn Maxwell (32-balls 54*) and Mitchell Marsh (45 off 30 balls) starred with the bat for Australia to power them to a respectable 168/8. In reply, Afghanistan were bundled out for 164/7 in their allotted 20 overs with Rashid Khan doing the bulk of scoring for his team with an unbeaten 48 off 23 balls.

Meanwhile, a huge umpiring blunder took place during Australia vs Afghanistan T20 World Cup match. Fans on Twitter have slammed umpires for not taking notice of Naveen-ul-Haq bowling only 5 balls in 4th over of the innings vs Australia. The blunder might affect Australia's chances of making it to the T20 WC semi-finals, considering several other factors in the Group.
