Bhavinaben Patel has won India its first medal in table tennis at the Paralympic Games 2020. India's Bhavinaben Patel lost her final against her Chinese opponent, ZHOU Ying by 7-11, 5-11, 6-11 in the class 4 table tennis category.
Bhavina recieved a lot of praise for her performance at the Tokyo Paralympic Games. India's prime minister, Narendra Modi said that the table tennis player has "scripted history" for India. Even the likes of Rahul Gandhi, Deepa Malik, Virender Sehwag and many others wished Bhavina on her victory.
Deepa Malik, the former para-athlete said that Bhavina patel has "given a gift to the nation on the national sports day". Today, as in the National Sports Day was the "Most apt day to create history for any sportsperson," added Deepa Malik
