Warne, considered to be one of the best spinners of all time, died on March 4 at Samui Island in Thailand, where he was on a holiday with his friends. His autopsy report confirmed that the 52-year-old died of a suspected heart attack. His body was flown to Melbourne from Bangkok in a private jet, a week ago.

"He brought together so many things," television presenter Eddie McGuire, known to be a very close friend of Warner, who delivered the eulogy, told the Herald Sun newspaper.

"The reason why he was so loved is because he was fallible, he was Superman.

"The magic part about Shane Warne was that he sprinkled his gold dust everywhere he went. He didn't become a hermit, he brought his friends into everything in life," McGuire added.

Warner will be given a fitting and final farewell with full state honors on March 30 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in which the general public will be allowed to come. A stand on the ground will be named after Warne in his honor.
