Sakshi Dhoni applies for Arms License citing 'possibility of threat to life'

Sakshi has applied permission to own non-prohibited bore weapons which involves handguns of .35, .32, .22 and .380 caliber

Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Dhoni, has applied for Arms License claiming the reason to be ‘threat to her life,’ as per reports. She has applied permission to own non-prohibited bore weapons which involves handguns of .35, .32, .22 and .380 caliber. Elaborating on her application, she said that she lives alone in the house and is mostly alone when she goes out for work and hence there is a possibility of threat and she requested for the license to be issued without any delay. It should be noted that the license is issued by the Central Home Ministry under the recommendations of the State Government. Dhoni had sought arms license for weapons of prohibited bore to purchase a 9 mm pistol in 2010 which was issued by the government. He already owned the license for weapons of non-prohibited bore at the time.
