Pankaj Advani-led India win Asian Team Snooker Championship
Bishskek [Kyrgyzstan], July 5 (ANI): Ace Indian cueist Pankaj Advani on Wednesday came out with a spectacular performance as he teamed up with Laxman Rawat to defeat Pakistan in Asian Team Snooker Championship final.
Advani pieced together a brilliant break of 83 to win the first tie of the best-of-five final.
However, India's fate was determined by Advani's partner Rawat who came out with a clinical 73 break to win the frame.
The Indian pair maintained their superlative performance in the doubles tie to complete a whitewash.
Advani held his nerve and completed the task of clearing the frame along with Rawat and winning the final 3-0.
The 31-year-old was the only player in the tournamen not to lose a single individual match in the team event.
This title brings up Advani's second Asian title this season and eighth overall while it was a first major first international title for Rawat.
Advani is currently the only player in the world to compete at the world championship level in both billiards and snooker. (ANI)
