Nikhat Zareen: The world champion boxer may be making her Olympics debut but given her reputation to perform well under pressure, India is hoping for a medal from her.
Nikhat Zareen: For those who have followed Indian sporting scenario for the past few years, Nikhat Zareen is surely not among the names they would have missed. Talk of making India proud at the world competitons and winning championships, Zareen became only the second Indian woman to win more than one world title in the history of the competition. She joined none other than the legendary MC Mary Kom to have multiple boxing world titles.
Irrespective of what happens at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Nikhat is already an Indian boxing legend. More than the sport of boxing, it was the spirit of fighting the exisiting stereotypes that brought her to the sport, as she questioned the absence of female boxers after initially taking a liking to running.

Nikhat Zareen Gold Medals And Accomplishments:
Nikhat Zareen's first of the two 2022 IBA Women's World Boxing Championships gold came in 2022 in Istanbul in the 52 kg category before her second gold came in the 50 kg category in New Delhi. She began her professional career at the age of 13 and withing six months had State championship gold to her credit. In 2011, she clinched the gold at the 2011 AIBA Women’s Youth & Junior World Boxing Championships in Antalya, Turkey, an achivement which she followed with another gold at the 2014 Nations Cup International Boxing Tournament held in Novi Sad, Serbia.

Among her memorable performances in her boxing career, came her win over three-time European Championships medallist Ukraine's Tetiana Kob which came at the Strandja Memorial Boxing Tournament in 2022. No surprises that her medals tally is expected to grow and an Olympic medal is what 1.4 billions are expecting from her at the Paris Olympic 2024.
