Manchester United Ready To Sack Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer After Humiliating Watford Loss: Report

Man United Sack Ole: The board doesn't want it to appear as if they have sacked the manager but they want to refer to it as a "mutual agreement" between them and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United is ready to sack it's current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer! The news was confirmed by multiple sources including the transfer market's most reliable journalist - Fabrizio Romano.

The decision has been taken after an emergency meeting that lasted for several hours which was attended by Joel Glazer, the co-chairman of the Glazers Group that owns Manchester United, the Guardian reported. The meeting was called after United's humiliating 1-4 loss to Watford football club.

This marked Manchester United's fourth loss in five away matches.

The board doesn't want it to appear as if they have sacked the manager but they want to refer to it as a "mutual agreement" between them and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

It is also understood that the first-team coach, Michael Carrick, and the club’s technical director, Darren Fletcher will take over the reins at Man United until they find a suitable manager. Meanwhile, Man United is looking to compensate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by £7.75million, as reported by Manchester Evening News.

Solskjaer was disappointed after the 1-4 defeat and said, “Watford away from home, you need to give them a harder time than we did. They outfought us, we allowed them to put the ball in our box too easily. There are so many things that can go wrong in football and too many did in the first half.”

After the loss, United goal-keeper David De Gea said “It's easy to blame the manager or the staff but sometimes it's the players. It was embarrassing to see Man United play like we did today. It's not acceptable - the way we were playing and doing things."

The Man United boss had the backing of the board even after 5-0 loss against Liverpool last month, but the defeat against Watford might have just sunk the Solskjaer ship.

MEN also reported that links to Zinadine Zidane are just to "appease Cristiano Ronaldo" and his increasing frustration with the club. The decision about a new manager would be made soon.
