Lionel Messi Interview As Kid Goes Viral After Argentina Win FIFA World Cup 2022- WATCH
Messi scored a brace in the summit clash and then scored the first goal from the spot in the penalty shootout to help his team beat France and clinch the World Cup.
Lionel Messi had an evening to remember at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar on Sunday (December 18) as Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalty shootouts and clinched their third World Cup title. Notably, this was the first World Cup triumph for Messi which completes perhaps the only major trophy which was missing from his cabinet.
The win cements his legacy among the greats of the game and has added further weight to the argument of those who claim that he is the better in the rivalry that has defined football in the last 2 decades- Cristiano Ronaldo vs Leo Messi. The 35-year-old already has 7 Ballon d'Or awards to his credit apart from a trophy cabinet filed with 10 La Liga, 7 Copa del Ray, 4 Champions League, 7 Spanish Super Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cup, 3 Club World Cup, 1 Ligue 1, the Copa America 2021 and now of course the FIFA World Cup 2022.
As soon as Montiel scored his penalty and it was decided that Argentina had won the summit clash 4-2 in the penalty shootout, social media was flooded with posts related to the legendary footballer. Amid those, a short video interview of Messi as a kid has gone viral which is a delight for all Messi fans around the world.
In the video, when the young Messi is asked if he knows that he has been chosen as the Man of the Match, he says "No." However, he was asked to describe his goal and who will he dedicate his award to and it is his response to this that has won over the internet.
Here is the Viral Video:

Messi Not To Retire After FIFA World Cup Final
