WPL 2023: RCB Skipper Smriti Mandhana Celebrates Holi Along With Teammates - See Pics

RCB's foreign players Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Heather Knight celebrated holi with local cricketers like Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh.

Holi 2023: The mood in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) camp is positive despite their horrific start in  Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023. The franchise suffered two consecutive defeats in their first two matches and are yet to win their first match in the ongoing tournament. Amidst this, keeping aside the performance pressure and worries, RCB players took some time off to celebrate the festival of colors.

RCB's foreign players Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Heather Knight celebrated holi with local cricketers like Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh.

So far it has been a disappointing debut for Smriti Mandhana's Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Women's Premier League (WPL 2023).

RCB faced a crushing defeat in their last two matches. The franchise were defeated by 60 runs in their first match by Delhi Capitals (DC).

Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians easily outcasted RCB by 9 wickets on Monday. RCB won the toss against MI and opted to bat first. They were bowled out for 155 and then saw Mumbai Indians chase down the target with 34 balls remaining.

RCB batters' poor form has been the main reason behind their back-to-back losses in the tournament.

“We would have loved to put up a better performance. We were below par. Will come back harder. There were two-three batters getting 20-30 runs, a few batters including me couldn’t put up a good score,” Mandhana said in her post-match comments.

“We will sit and talk and try to come up with a better performance. We had six-seven good bowlers. As batters we need to put up a good total on board.

“It’s a pretty short tournament, we can’t dwell on it. In franchise cricket, even after two losses we can turn it around quickly.”
