IPL 2023: As per unconfirmed reports, this could be MS Dhoni's final year in the cash-rich league.
With just about two weeks to go for the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL), there is buzz in the air and excitement among the fans for the sixteenth season of the T20 tournament. Among many reasons to look forward to the cash-rich league is legendary India cricketer MS Dhoni. While he had announced retirement from international cricket in IPL 2020, year after year there have been speculation on how long he will continue to ply his trade for the Chennai Super Kings.
This year again there have been a few reports which have claimed that this could be Dhoni's final year in the blockbuster tournament. This is also because of the fact that the league will be returning to its traditional home and away format and with the wicketkeeper-batter having previously gone on record that he would want to bid farewell only when he gets to play at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, fans are expecting this season to be his swansong.
Nonetheless, anything that he does on or off the cricket field tends to grab eyeballs. And this time around a video shared by his IPL franchise in which Dhoni can be seen playing guitar has broken the internet. The only captain to have won all the three white-ball ICC trophies oozes swagger as he looks like a rockstar in this video from what appears to be a photoshoot for the franchise.

CSK vs GT to start off IPL 2023
Meanwhile, the schedule for IPL 2023 is out and the MS Dhoni-led CSK will take on the defending champions Gujarat Titans in the first match this season. The match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
