Virat Kohli Shares Throwback Pics With RCB Teammates To Indicate A Countdown Of Sorts For IPL Season 13

The RCB skipper took to instagram to share a few pics of the previous editions of the IPL with his RCB teammates giving a hint of his eagerness to step onto the field and lead the Reds for yet another season.

The buzz and excitement around the the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League has been at another level in the cricketing circles after the Indian government gave its green signal to the BCCI for the flagship T20 league to be staged in the United Arab Emirates.. The T20 stalwarts from the eight franchises have kick-started their preparation in full swing to get back to full fitness and make a stellar impact in the league which gets under away in the for the second time in the Middle East nation since 2014. Indian skipper Virat Kohli who is also the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore seems to be all pepped up as well and it doing a countdown of sorts for the number of days left for the season 13 of the league to begin. The RCB skipper took to instagram to share a few pics of the previous editions of the IPL with his RCB teammates giving a hint of his eagerness to step onto the field and lead the Reds for yet another season. Kohli captioned the pic with a clock emoji and an hourglass emoji, indicating that he is counting the days for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to start. Kohli who has been highly successful as the Indian team skipper in all formats of the game hasn't enjoyed the same success leading RCB in the IPL. The Kohli-led RCB which has boasted of some of the most prolific performers with the willow in Chris Gayle, AB De Villiers is yet to win their maiden IPL title. The Bangalore based franchise have got to the title clash thrice  (2009, 2011 and 2016) but ended up as losing finalist on all occasions. Under Virat Kohli's captaincy, the team made it to the finals of IPL's 2016 edition but lost to SunRisers Hyderabad. RCB would like to turnaround their fortunes in Season season after having ended in the bottom half of the table in the last three editions for the league. While the IPL title eluded Kohli and RCB, the prolific run scorer has been a consistent performer with the bat for the reds after he was bought for a sum of Ra 12 lakhs back in 2008. Virat Kohli has spearheaded RCB's batting over the course of his 177 match IPL career, scoring 5,412 runs at an impressive average of 37.84 and a strike rate of 131.61.
