SRH vs RR Highlights, IPL 2024: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 1 run in a last-ball thriller at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday (May 2). With 2 needed off the final ball and Rovman Powell on strike, Bhuvi bowled a full-length ball to trap the batter out Leg Before Wicket (LBW) and win the game for the Orange Army.

SRH won the toss and elected to bat first and managed to post 201/3 in their 20 overs. The home team managed to breach the 200-run mark, riding on half-centuries from Travis Head (58 off 44) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (76 off 42) but Heinrich Klaasen's 42* off 19 was also equally important in helping SRH post their fifth 200-plus total of the season. For RR, it was Avesh Khan who was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with figures of 2/39 off his 4 overs while Sandeep Sharma (1/31 off 4 overs) was the other wicket taker for the Men in Pink.

Yashasvi Jaiswal-Riyan Parag Stand Almost Seal The Game For Rajasthan Royals

As far as the Men in Pink are concerned, the 134-run stand between Yashasvi Jaiswal (67 off 40) and Riyan Parag (77 off 49) seemingly sealed the game for RR. While the chasing team had lost 2 wickets in the 1st over itself, their stand put the table toppers in a dominant position. But towards the end, RR lost wickets in cluster. With 20 needed off 12 balls, Pat Cummins first removed Dhruv Jurel before conceding a single and bowling 3 dot balls.

Rovman Powell, however, managed to smash a six off the last ball to ensure 13 are needed to win off 6 balls. Bhuvi, who had cleaned up Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson for ducks in his 1st over itself before being taken for runs, conceded 1 single and a double off his first 2 balls. However, Powell smashed the bowler for a boundary third ball with only 4 fielders allowed outside the circle.
