Ritika Sajdeh's Comment Heats Up Rohit Sharma vs Hardik Pandya Captaincy Debate At MI
IPL 2024: Rohit Sharma will not be the MI captain when they the turn up at the cash-rich league this year.
The 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), much like how every season of the cash-rich league promises to be, will not be unlike any of its predecessors. One of the key reasons would be no Rohit Sharma as the captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI) for the first time in over a decade. In a move that shocked many, the franchise decided to announce Hardik Pandya as the captain of the side for IPL 2024 after roping him in a pre-auction trade in an all-cash deal with Gujarat Titans (GT).
While Rohit had led MI to each of their five IPL titles, it wasn't enough for him to leave the leadership role on his own terms with no official statement from him coming either in person or through his franchise. Later, Mark Boucher, the head coach of the franchise, in a podcast shared how it was a cricketing move to announce Hardik as the skipper. He even said that in IPL much of the focus is on other things like advertising rather than cricket, responding to which Ritika Sajdeh, Rohit's wife had commented: ‘So many things wrong with this.’
And now it is yet another one of Ritika's comment that is grabbing all the headlines. In a fan's tribute post to Rohit the captain, Ritika has responded with a teary-eyed smiling emoji.
