IPL Retention 2025: Rajasthan Royals have announced the list of players that they will be retaining ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. Their announcement comes on the IPL Retention 2025 deadline on Thursday (October 31). The inaugural champions have decided to retain Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma. RR have only won one title so far dating back to the inaugural year in 2008.

Samson has been retained for Rs 18 crore, the same amount which Jaiswal will be getting. Parag and Jurel will both be paid Rs 14 crore while Hetmyer will get Rs 11 crore with Sandeep set to receive Rs 4 crore. The retentions have left the franchise with a total purse of Rs 41 crore but they will not have any Right To Match (RTM) option available.

RR Lose Qualifier 2 In IPL 2024

Rajasthan have had a few decent seasons in the buildup to IPL 2024 where again they reached the Playoffs. They won the Eliminator against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to set up a clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 2. However, they could not get to past the Orange Army and their campaign to an end with a defeat.
