IPL 2025: Ahead of IPL 2025, some massive claims are being made with several of them coming from the MI camp. One such claim is that Hardik Pandya was victim of a consipracy in the franchise.

Things are going to take a massive turn in Mumbai Indians (MI). One of the most successful franchises in the history of the tournament is sure to undergo a period of transition. The team management had decided to replace Rohit Sharma, the captain who had led them to each of their five-title in the competition, with Hardik Pandya. However, a new report now suggests that there was a big conspiracy against the star all-rounder in the 2024 season of the competition, also suggesting that he might no longer be the captain come 2025.

In fact, it is during a discussion on the Youtube channel Sportsyaari that several big claims were made. As per the discussion, many players including Rohit Sharma did not want Hardik Pandya to be the captain of the franchise. It goes on to make a massive claim that the fact that Hardik was booed at every stadium where the team travelled including MI's home ground- the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai- was part of a big conspiracy against the cricketer. There was negative PR which was at work against Hardik which means there was a deliberate attempt to taint the cricketer's image using social media and other communication techniques.

Even though some huge claims have been made in the video, there has not been any official confirmation on this or a report by any other credible media oraginsation that could corroborate the gravity of what is being said with Rohit Sharma's name being included among those who were involved in the plan against Hardik. For now, it would be best to assume them as rumours and gossip.

Who Can Replace Hardik If He Is Removed As MI Captain?

If Hardik was to be removed as the MI captain, the biggest name which has come up in multiple media reports is that of Suryakumar Yadav. Rohit Sharma, in all likelihood, could be released by the team after being snubbed off as the captain before IPL 2024. Meanwhile, Suryakumar has also been linked with a trade deal to his forner franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) who are reportedly willing to let go of IPL-winning captain Shreyas Iyer if Suryakumar comes on board. However, there is no confirmation in the same either.
