On February 22 (Thursday), the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) disclosed a preliminary schedule for the 2024 season, covering the initial 17 days from March 22 to April 7, featuring a total of 21 matches. CSK will commence their title defence at their home ground, the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Following tradition, the defending champions kick off the new edition. CSK secured victory against GT in last year's exciting IPL final.
The schedule has been revealed only for the initial 15 days of the competition, with the remaining matches set to be announced after the Election Commission of India (ECI) declares the dates for the Lok Sabha elections.
