A leaked video of Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper Shikhar Dhawan talking about a girl, he recently met at a party has gone viral on social media. However, whether the video is real or is just being used for a promotional campaign is yet to be confirmed. “When I saw her, I kept looking. When I hear her, I kept hearing,” said Dhawan in the viral one-minute video. The video ends with the 37-year-old saying, “Poorana bhool ke, It’s time to move on.” Twitter was quick to react to the clip with one user saying, "It's scripted," while another wrote, "Script for his new advertisement hai bhai."

Shikhar Dhawan, the out-of-favor India opener, is leading Punjab Kings in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Under his captaincy, PBKS are currently placed at 6th position with a NRR of -0.281 after two wins from three games. The 37-year-old PBKS star has been in good form so far in the 10-team tournament, currently the Orange Cap holder with 225 runs in three games and a strike-rate of 149.

Dhawan divorced Aesha Mukherjee in 2021 after being married for 8 years. The couple had tied the knot back in 2012 and  were blessed with a baby boy Zoravar in 2014. Recently, Dhawan opened up about reason behind their shocking divorce.

“I failed because the final decision is the person’s own. I don’t point fingers at others. I failed because I was not aware of that field,” Dhawan told Sports Tak in an interview.

“The things I talk about cricket today, I wouldn’t have been aware of the same 20 years back. It comes with experience.”

The southpaw said he might get married again in the future.

“Right now my divorce case is going on. Tomorrow, if I want to marry again, I will be much more wiser in that field. I’ll know what kind of girl I need; someone whom I can spend my life with,” he said.

“When I was 26-27 and I was continuously playing, I was not in any relationship. I used to have fun, but was never in a relationship.
