IPL 2021: BCCI To Provide 30,000 RT-PCR Tests During IPL Phase-2, Sets Up A 100-Member Medical Team
IPL 2021: 750 hotel staff across 14 hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are working to control the spread of Covid-19.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is getting ready for the restart of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season-13. The BCCI along with VPS Healthcare has arranged for 30,000 RT-PCR tests to be conducted on players, support staff, and others associated with the tournament. Unlike the first phase of the IPL, when the tests were done after every five days, the remaining IPL will conduct an RT-PCR test on each player after every third day, the PTI reported.
The Dubai-based medical company will also look after emergency treatment of players and even air ambulance support. To avoid the travel of players outside the bio-bubble, the same company will arrange for medical services at the hotel bio-bubble itself.
A team of 100 medical professionals has been assigned for Covid-19 management. 750 hotel staff across 14 hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are working to control the spread of Covid-19. BCCI is very cautious of not repeating the same mistakes that they did in the first phase of the IPL.
