IPS 2020: The much-awaited thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will commence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on last year's finalist Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a blockbuster tournament opener in Abu Dhabi on September 19. All eight franchises have already arrived in the United Arab Emirates after undergoing thorough testing and quarantine protocols at their respective camps and bases in India.
The thirteenth season of the IPL will be played across three venues Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah over a period of 56 days. There will be 10 double headers with the first match starting at 3:30 PM IST and 2:00PM UAE time. All evening matches will start at 7:30PM IST and 6:00 PM UAE time. In all, 24 matches will be held in Dubai, 20 in Abu Dhabi and 12 in Sharjah.

The IPL makes a return to the UAE for the second time since 2014 when a part of the tournament was held in the middle east nation due to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Starting September 19, all Live matches will be exclusively available to new and existing subscribers of Disney+ Hotstar VIP and Disney+ Hotstar Premium.
