International Rapper Drake Places INR 2.07 Crore Bet On KKR Ahead Of KKR Vs SRH IPL 2024 Final

KKR Vs SRH IPL 2024 Final: 5-time Grammy winner and renowned international rapper Drake has stunned the cricketing world by placing a bet on Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Final. The final of the IPL 2024 takes place on Sunday, May 26, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers and both the sides are gunning for the title. Drake has placed a bet of INR 2.07 crore on the betting platform 'Stake', and shared the information by posting the screenshot of his bet slip on his official Instagram account.

Will 'Drake Curse' Hit KKR?

Drake has oftentimes been unlucky with his bets, and sporting fans all over the world pray for avoiding a bet on their beloved side from Drake. The sporting fans have termed the bets of Drake as 'Drake Curse' and it has often been highlighted via his losses. Some of the most prime examples have been his bet on Tyson Fury against Aleksandr Usyk in the boxing event, which ended in Usyk's favour as he did the impossible by defeating Tyson Fury and breaking his unbeaten streak. 

Another one came in the Israel Adesanya Vs Alex Pereira match, where Drake placed a bet on Israel at the UFC 284 event, but Adesanya knocked Israel out to win the UFC Middleweight Championship.

However, the curse did not create a problem for Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, as the legendary Lionel Messi guided his side to an iconic victory over France in the final, in what was arguably the greatest football match ever played in the history of the sport. Drake bet's on Argentina was hence, proved to be a success. Another successful bet for Drake came at the Superbowl 2024, where Kansas City Chiefs managed to comprehensively beat San Francisco 49ers.
