A thrilling win against defending champions Mumbai Indians would have boosted the morale of Kings XI Punjab, but for KL Rahul-led team that has failed to perform consistently, a win tonight will not be easy in their next match, as the confident Punjab has to face Delhi Capitals, who are at the top of the points table on the back of fabulous wins in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

At present, Delhi Capitals remains on top in the IPL points table with 14 points. Delhi, till date, has not been able to win a single IPL title, but this year it looks very strong. Kings XI Punjab has been placed at number seven after defeating Mumbai in the double super over thriller.
For KXIP, bowling in the death overs, weak middle-order and Glenn Maxwell's poor form is a big worry. Punjab will have to win the remaining five matches to make it to the playoffs. Despite having tournament's top two run-scorers KL Rahul (525) and Mayank Agarwal (393), the team has struggled to win.
With a good bowling line-up, Delhi Capitals has shown that they are capable of defending low scores as well. The team has been the most successful in the current tournament so far and a close match win against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday would have boosted their morale.
