The 2023 season of the world's largest T20 league - Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 - started on Friday (March 31) at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium with a blockbuster Opening Ceremony ahead of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Gujarat Titans (GT) IPL 2023 match. The dazzling IPL 2023 Opening Ceremony saw megastars from the Indian film industry - Arijit Singh, Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandana - set the Ahmedabad crowd on fire with their epic performances.

Meanwhile, Neroli Meadows, an Australian presenter for IPL 2023, took to Instagram to post a video of Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar dancing to the song 'Saami Saami' from Indian blockbuster 'Pushpa' when Rashmika was performing on stage.

Talking about CSK vs GT IPL 2023 tournament opener, Hardik Pandya's Gujarat started their title defence on a winning note as they defeated MS Dhoni Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the third time in IPL history, remaining unbeaten against them in the history of the tournament.

Gujarat Titans (GT) rode on Shubman Gill's hard-fought 35-ball 63 to outplay Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five wickets in CSK vs GT IPL 2023 tournament opener in Ahmedabad on Friday (March 31). The match hung in balance in last two overs but some late lusty blows from Rashid Khan (3-balls 10) and Rahul Tewatia (14-balls 15) ensured that Gujarat ended up with a 5-wicket victory.
