Talking about Lucknow vs Kolkata IPL 2022 match, due to being placed in two different groups, tonight will be the first time this season when Lucknow Super Giants will clash against Kolkata Knight Riders. This season so far has been very good for Lucknow. After winning 7 out of 10 matches, the franchise, playing IPL for the very first time, is at the second position in the IPL 2022 points table with 14 points.  If Lucknow Super Giants manages to beat Kolkata Knight Riders today, they will be one more step closer to the IPL 2022 playoffs.

On the other hand, the journey of two-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders has not been good in IPL 2022 so far. Kolkata are on the brink of getting knocked out of IPL 2022 Playoffs race after losing 6 out of 10 matches. The team is in 8th position in the IPL 2022 points table. Today it will be a do-or-die contest for them against Lucknow. If KKR loses today, they will be almost out of the race for the IPL 2022 playoffs.
