Mumbai Indians, who like most of the IPL franchises landed in UAE last week, kicked started their preparations for the season after their players completed the mandatory 6-day isolation period. The 'Blue Brigade' undertook their training drills under the coaching staff headed by Mahela Jayawardene. While all the Indian players of the MI squad are in the UAE and part of the bio-secure bubble, a few international stars like Kieron Pollard and Chris Lynn will have late arrival in the camp after the culmination of the ongoing CPL. Mumbai Indians who have been the most successful team in the IPL history by winning the title four times had won their maiden title in 2013 edition when Rohit Sharma took over as the skipper from Ricky Ponting mid-season. Two years later in 2015, they once again defeated CSK in the grand finale to lift the trophy for a second time. In 2017, MI won a nail-biting thriller against Steve Smith-led Rising Pune Supergiant. In 2019, Mumbai Indians edged Chennai Super Kings again by registering a last-ball win in one of the most pulsating title clashes in the history of the IPL final. The four-time Champions will hope to continue their good run in the upcoming season. Our colours. Our team.
