Indian Men's Hockey 'A' team beat Bangladesh in practice match

Bengaluru, (Karnataka) [India] June 30 (ANI): Indian Men's Hockey 'A' team beats Bangladesh by 6-0 in the second practice match held in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Rupinder Pal Singh, who is not playing in the ongoing Rabobank Men's Hockey Champions Trophy 2018 in Breda, Netherlands, was in top form as he scored a hattrick in the 33rd, 35th and 55th minute that gave a necessary edge to the winning team.

India 'A' team's opening goal was scored by striker Akashdeep Singh (18') who was also rested for the ongoing tournament in Breda. Midfield Kothajit Singh scored the second goal in the 23rd minute while Nilakanta Sharma (51') was the other goal scorer for India.

The India 'A' team featured a combination of players from the Core Group of 48 players who continued to remain in the National Camp after the 18 selected members for the Rabobank Men's Hockey Champions Trophy Breda 2018 left for the event on June 19 from Bengaluru. (ANI)
