WTC Weather Update: Michael Atherton is here with his weather update straight from Southampton. He has no good news for the cricket fans. Atherton said: "Rain is falling gently, but steadily, so there's no respite. The ground is saturated. We did spot some Indian players with umbrellas. The outfield is also sodden!" on Hotstar.
Atherton added that the spectators have shown enthusiasm but the chances of any play happening are 'not good'. "The spectators are hopeful but the prospects for any play happening on Day 4 are not good, I am afraid. Covers are on and it is still very wet," he added.
Atherton also said that some Indian players (Rahane & Shami) were jogging back from the Pavillion area to the hotel area at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

Southampton: "New Zealand have an upper hand right now. But we can expect the same thing that happened with India to happen with NZ. India lost their shape after Kohli got out, If India picks Williamson early, then the NZ batting order might suffer," Dinesh Karthik o current WTC scenario.
