When rain-hit IND vs NZ 3rd T20I was stopped, India were reeling at 75/4 in 161-chase, both New Zealand and India were level on the D/L method which meant the match had to result in a tie.
India vs New Zealand 3rd T20I Highlights: The final match of the three-match T20 series between India and New Zealand ended with visitors attaining a 1-0 series win. The third T20 International between the two teams ended abruptly due to rain intervention. New Zealand captain Tim Southee won the toss and decided to bat first.

Batting first, New Zealand gave India a target of 161 runs for the win. In reply, India had a poor start, losing 3 wickets for just 21 runs. India's match winner Suryakumar Yadav was also dismissed after scoring just 10 runs. Hardik Pandya looked in good touch, but the match was abruptly stopped due to rain.

When rain-hit IND vs NZ 3rd T20I was stopped, India were reeling at 75/4 in 161-chase, both New Zealand and India were level on the D/L method which meant the match had to result in a tie, without an outright winner. In a normal situation, the result of the match would have been decided using a super over but the outfield at Mclean Park in Napier was too damp and the umpires took the call of not restarting the match because of unsafe playing conditions.
