Araijeet Singh Hundal made it 2-0 as his thumping effort from a narrow angle flew past the Malaysia goalkeeper, and it was a lovely drag flick from the young sensation, as India looked over the hills and far away within the first 6 minutes of the match.

Merely few seconds later, India won their first penalty corner and Jugral Singh thumped his effort to make it 3-0 for India, and things were not looking bright for Malaysia, as they stared down at the barrel of a humiliating defeat.

After a dry spell for a brief period, India were back to their routine business, as Harmapreet Singh and Rajkumar Pal scored India's 4th and 5th goal respectively inside the space of 3 minutes in the Quarter 2, as Malaysia looked completely out of sorts.

India scored their 6th goal in Quarter 3 as Rajkumar Pal sealed his hat-trick via a horrible miss kick from the Malaysian keeper, which presented the Indian player an open shot from the centre of the box.
India's endurance at the back finally came to an end as they failed to maintain a clean sheet, and Malaysia's Anuar Akhimullah scored from a rebound. Araijeet Singh Hundal scored one back for India, as the 20-year-old scored his second goal of the afternoon.
India's surge towards double digits got one step closer as Uttam Singh scored India's 8th goal in Quarter 3, which was followed by sublime defensive recoveries from India, as they outran the Malaysian attackers on numerous occasions.
A barren last quarter led to scoreline reading 8-1 at full-time whistle, and India now marches ahead with a morale-boosting victory.
