Former NBA player Scottie Pippen took to social media to pen a heartfelt post for his elder son Antron, who passed away on Sunday (April 18). The former Chicago Bulls star player got emotional while expressing his thoughts on his son’s demise. He revealed that his son suffered from chronic asthma in his heartwarming post on Instagram and Twitter.
Scottie said that he and Antron were basketball enthusiasts and often discussed the game with each other. He added that his son would have played in the NBA if he didn’t suffer from asthma.
The 55-year-old shared several pictures with his son on his official Instagram handle along with his note. In one of the photos, he can be seen carrying his son on his shoulders.
“I’m heartbroken to share that yesterday, I said goodbye to my firstborn son Antron. The two of us shared a love for basketball and we had countless conversations about the game. Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadn’t had it, I truly believe he would've made it to the NBA. He never let that get him down, though—Antron stayed positive and worked hard, and I am so proud of the man that he became. Please keep his mom, Karen, and all of his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. A kind heart and beautiful soul gone way too soon. I love you, son, rest easy until we meet again,” he wrote.
