It is hard to argue against the fact that Lionel Messi is one of the finest players to have played the sport of football. Even without the FIFA World Cup trophy, Messi boasts of an enviable trophy cabinet and statistics worth drooling over. Despite so many feather in his cap, the star Argentine footballer is giving it his all in a bid to aid his country win the biggest trophy in international football in Qatar.
However, it is not one of his on field brilliances that has grabbed the headlines this time around but a video related to his the off pitch antic. A short clip has surfaced on social media in which the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is seemingly irked by a Netherlands' player. The video is from an interview which Messi was giving after Argentina's high-voltage quarterfinal win over the Dutch. But something seemed to bother the the 35-year-old as he continued to look the other way before a short but angry rant at the Netherlands player, who it is believed to be Wout Weghorst.
Messi can be heard saying: "Que miras bobo" in Spanish which roughly translates to 'What Are You Looking At, Fool?'. The incident happened after what was an action packed fixture which saw the Dutch come back from behind to level the scores 2-2, courtesy of a brace from Weghorst before losing in the penalty shootout on December 10.

Argentina to face Croatia in the semifinals
Having won their quarterfinal encounter on penalties, Messi-led Argentina will face an upbeat Croatia in the semifinals. While Argentina were being touted as among the favourites before the tournament started and reached this stage of the tournament after having already been stunned by Saudi Arabia in their opening fixture, Croatia once again showed that they just cannot be underestimated when it comes to the big tournaments as they remain unbeaten and sit on the brink of a second successive World Cup final appearance.
Will the World Cup dream continue for Messi or will Croatia send him into the list of football icons who couldn't lift the World Cup trophy? Lots to look forward to when the semi-final fixture kicks off at 12:30 am (IST) on December 14.
