City thrash Leeds 3-1
Talking about the match, City handed a 3-1 defeat to Leeds United. While Rodri opened the scoring for Guardiola's men in the injury time of the first half, Erling Haaland's second-half brace sealed the deal for the Cityzens who are placed number 2 on the points table which is currently being led by Arsenal.
Pascal Struijk then netted a goal for Leeds in the 73rd minute of the match but that proved to be a consolatory strike as the Leeds could not find any more goals.
United beat Nottingham Forest
In the only other Premier League match scheduled on December 28, United registered a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest. Marcus Rashford scored the first goal for the Red Devils in the 19th minute of the match to put them ahead. Later, Anthony Martial scored a goal in the 23rd minute to extend Man United's lead.
Any hopes of a possible late comeback from Nottingham Forest went down the drain when Fred netted the third goal for the Men in Red in the 87th minute of the match. Erik Ten Hag's side are at the fifth position on the league table while Nottingham Forest are fighting relegation, currently sitting at the 19th position.
