'Unai Emery On Same Level As Pep, Klopp, Mourinho': Aston Villa Midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo

Aston Villa's midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, in an interview with Corriere dello Sport, has made some bold statements about his fututre club and the potential of the current manager Unai Emery at Aston Villa. The Italian midfielder is on loan from Super Lig giants Galatasary and has been getting some game time at the Premier League club after having a disappointing 2022/23 season at the Turkish outfit.

As reported by Italian transfer guru and journalist, Fabrizio Romano, the 24 year old has hailed Unai Emery as one of the best managers in the world and has deemed that the Spanish manager is on te same level as that of legendary managers such as Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, and Jose Mourinho.

“Unai Emery is one of the best managers in the world, at the same level of Pep Guardiola, Klopp and Mourinho. It’s true, I’m not having a lot of game time and I was expecting more. But I’m honest enough to say that Emery is world class coach,” said Nicolo Zaniolo.

However, the former AS Roma starlet expressed his love for the former club and has released a statement in which the midfielder desires to play for AS Roma again in the Serie A. Also, Nicolo Zaniolo has given clarity on his future as his loan tenure ends at the end of the season and it will be interesting to see where does the midfielder go after this season.

“Bring me back to Serie A! AS Roma remains in my heart, I’d never go to Lazio in my life. I did my best for Gala. Of course, for an Italian player in Turkey it’s not easy to adapt. It was a good experience, let’s see what will happen in the summer with Gala. I’m focused on Aston Villa, then Galatasaray will decide my future. I miss Italy, of course… but my agent will inform me in case of concrete proposals. I’m grateful to Monchi who wanted to bring me here”, added the Italian midfielder.
