Newcastle vs Arsenal: Ben White was not named in Arsenal's playing 11 in their Premier League fixture against Newcastle on Saturday (November 2). With White missing out, it was Thomas Partey who has been named in the starting list at the left-back with William Saliba, Gabriel and Jurien Timber accompanying him to make a solid back four at the St James Park.
As far as White is concerned, Arsenal boss had given an update on his fitness in his pre-match press conference.
"With Ben we don’t know yet," Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta had said in his pre-match press conference. "He could not train so let’s see what happens," he added.

It is pertinent to note that White did start for Arsenal in their last three matches after returning from a month-long injury layoff. However, as Arteta revealed he did not train with them ahead of this match and was finally rested at least for the starting minutes in this away fixture.

Arteta, it is being learnt, will not take any chances with White and has thus named him on the bench, giving Partey another chance.
