One such beautiful moment of respect came on Saturday, February 10, in Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga fixture against Freiburg at the iconic Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, when Spanish right-back Mateu Morey made his long-awaited return to the side, after being subbed on for Ian Maatsen in the 88th minute. Borussia Dortmund welcomed Freiburg in a crucial Bundesliga fixture as both sides are in great contention for respective European spots, as 4th placed Borussia Dortmund are looking to solidify their hold on the automatic qualification spot for UEFA Champions League, while 7th placed Freiburg are going neck-to-neck with 2022 UEFA Europa League winners, Frankfurt, for a Europa Conference League spot.

BvB didn't disappoint its fans as they ran past a dismal Freiburg in emphatic fashion, as goals from Donyell Malen (scored a brace) and Niclas Fullkrug were enough to deliver a 3-0 win Edin Terzic' side, as they continue their purple patch of form in 2024.
