Kylian Mbappe, one of the finest footballers of the contemporary times and a FIFA World Cup-winner with France, was a victim of a cybercrime when his X account was seemingly hacked. However, his fans were quick to notice that his account was hacked as it started promoting a cryptocurrency called '$MBAPPE'. The account of the Real Madrid superstar also seemed to suggest that the currencely had already reached 90,000 sales.

In what was a bizarre incident, quite a few provocative messages were shared through Mbappe's account which include a transfer tease to Manchester United and a take on the Cristinalo Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi rivarly. Even though the tweets were later deleted, by then the damage had already been done with a controversy erupting.

"Manchester is Red" was one of the tweets that grabbed eyeballs. A popular United fan account @UTDTrey also received a praise from the hacked account as it said: "the best account on ft (football Twitter)." However, when a user replied whether Mbappe prefers a move to London, the account which was hacked responded as saying: "London is s*** bro."

While Mbappe is a known Ronaldo fan but he has refrained from insulting Lionel Messi. However, once the account was hacked, the hacker went a step ahead and used a derogatory term for eight-time Ballon d'Or winner and FIFA World Cup 2022 winner Lionel Messi.

As reported by Mirror, the launch of the 'Mbappe' token did dominate social media trends and its market value also soared to  millions within minutes but it wasn't sustainable at all as it all came crashing down to zero, quicker in time than it had soared.

While Mbappe was set to make a move to Madrid last season only, a dramatic U-turn saw him stay put at the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). However, he finally moved to Madrid this year and made an impressive debut, scoring a goal in Real Madrid's 2-0 UEFA Super Cup victory over Atalanta.
