Video Of Mousa Tamari's Solo Effort That Helped Jordan Stun South Korea To Reach First AFC Asian Cup Final Goes Viral
AFC Asian Cup: Mousa Tamari's incredible solo goal helped Jordan stun two-time winners South Korea.
Jordan stunned two-time winners South Korea to proceed to their first AFC Asian Cup final by going on to win their semi-final faceoff at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Qatar on Tuesday (February 6). While it was Yazan Al-Naimat who put Jordan in the lead with a goal in the initial minutes of the second-half, Mousa Tamari scored a 66th minute winner with an incredible solo effort.
It is pertinent to note that Jordan had never gone beyond the quarter-final stage of the continental tournament before this edition of the competition. However, this time around they are at the cusp of glory with Iran waiting for them in Saturday's summit clash.
The video of Tamari's goal has surfaced online. Take a look at the video here:

Son Heung-min's Goal Ruled Out For Offside
While South Korea were outplayed in the match, in a brief moment of joy for all the South Korea fans, Son Hein-min seemed to have found the back of the net when he chipped a shot over Yazeed Abulaila, however, he could not get the timing of his run right and the goal was ruled out for offside, much to the disappointment of the South Korea fans. South Korea had another chance when they were awarded in the first half itself. However, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) intervened to suggest that the foul was committed by South Korea instead and the decision was overturned.
South Korea last won the Asian Cup in 1960. While they had managed to reach the semifinal on the back of a few stoppage time goals, this time around even that seemed to be lacking and they could not score even once in the contest. Manager Jurgen Klinsmann is likely to face the ire of fans post the team's defeat.
