Inter Milan Vs Juventus: Inter Milan have taken a big step towards winning the Serie A for the first time since 2021, as a 1-0 victory over Juventus in Derby D'Italia sealed the deal for the Nerazzurri. The OId Lady have now played a game more than Inter Milan and the Massimiliano Allegri's side sit four points behind league-leaders Inter Milan, who are now in driver's seat and in full control in the race for Scudetto.
The San Siro was already electrified ad the atmosphere was lit as both teams were coming into the fixture on the backs of impressive run of results but it was Federico Gatti's own goal in the 37th minute, that opened the scoring in the fixture and it proved to be the only goal as Juventus were blatantly firing at Inter's goal and didn't create any real chance as Yans Sommer made only one save the entire game.
With Juventus done and dusted, Inter can now turn their attnetion to the upcoming schedule of the UEFA Champions League as the last season's runners-up can take a breathe in the league as they have a cushion of an advantage over fierce rivals Juventus and AC Milan.
“It’s a step in a long journey because there are lots of games to go and Juve won’t give up, but it was a great night in front of a great crowd,” Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi told DAZN.
“It’s hard to find a weakness tonight… we’ve won 18 matches from 22 which is great but we’re only four points ahead of Juve. Napoli were much further ahead at this stage last season,” he added.

Inter's Impressive Run In Serie A
Inter last lost in Serie A back in September 2023, when Sassuolo came from a goal behind to stun the San Siro. Ever since the loss, Inter has gone on a mesmerising run in the league as with the recent victory over Juventus, the 19-time Serie A winners have extended their unbeaten run in the league to 16 games.
