Manchester City fans went on berserk mode as their legendary midfielder Kevin De Bruyne made his much-awaited return. WATCH.

FA Cup 2024: Manchester City fans went berserk in their third round fixture of the FA Cup 2024 against Championship-side Huddersfield as their talismanic midfielder Kevin De Bruyne made his long-awaited return to the football pitch after a laoyoff due to an injury. The Belgian midfielder was subbed in in the 57th minute as he replaced the Argentine World Cup winner Julian Alvarez and as per the expectations, received a grand roar and warm welcome from the fans at the Etihad Stadium and sounds echoed off the famous chant "Ohhhh.... Kevin De Bruyne......"

Kevin De Bruyne made an instant impact on the pitch as he provided an assist to compatriot Jeremy Doku, who too came alongside De Bruyne in the 57th minute, replacing Englishman Jack Grealish, as the Belgian scored the 5th and final goal of the game as Manchester City ran riot over their opponents to win the match 5-0 and progress into the Round 4 of the FA Cup 2024.

Kevin De Bruyne's return wasn't just special on-field, but off-the-field as well as his return took over the social media by storm.

Manchester City have missed their legendary midfielder endearingly as they have shockingly made a shaky start to their Premier League campaign as they currently sit at third and will next play a tricky away fixture at St. James' Park, against Newcastle on Matchday 21 of the Premier League on January 13. The Cityzens will be expecting Kevin De Bruyne to start the match as he has been one of the most important players for the Manchester-based club ever since his transfer from Wolfsburg in 2015.
